SOLD OUT - Castro Pride Tour

Sorry! This event is 100% sold out for the 2022 Pride season. We recommend our Pride Party (featuring new trivia + presentation for 2022) for those interested in learning and fun!

Come celebrate the history of Pride where it all began! This virtual walking tour will take your team through the Castro in San Francisco, one of the very first “gayborhoods” in the US.

You’ll learn about incredible LGBTQ+ history, hear the stories of activists like Harvey Milk, see stunning street art, and enjoy surprising & entertaining stories along the way — all without leaving your couch.

This tour will allow your team to sink their teeth into the history of the LGBTQ community in the Castro neighborhood, and will leave them with a wealth of knowledge.

We donate 10% from this experience to Black LGBT nonprofits.

How does a Castro Pride Tour work?

This tour covers history and culture of the LGBTQ history in the Castro neighborhood, and hits on many milestones.

Here’s just some of what’s covered in this event:

  • History of the Castro neighborhood and the LGBTQ community there
  • How the Rainbow Flag came to represent the LGBTQ community
  • Harvey Milk (the first openly gay person to be elected to a major public office in the US) and the camera shop he ran in the Castro
  • Pink Triangle Park & Holocaust Queer Victims Memorial, which are both located in the Castro

In order to transport your team to the streets of the Castro, we play videos of important sites, narrate the history of these spots, and facilitate a discussion about the importance and legacy of the district.

This event is great for history-buffs, culture-lovers, and anyone interested in learning about queer history. This event is one hour as a standalone event, or 45-minutes as part of Pride Fest.

Have Questions?

We’ll let one of our recent clients answer this!

For folks who worry about how appropriate LGBT events are, “you would be surprised how professional and thoughtful the team is.

The Pride Party is a perfect balance of educational and entertaining mixed with a little spice of team building that really brought the whole event together.”

-Jandee, Sr. People & Culture Specialist, Kazoo

This should go without saying, but ideally: open-minded teams who are ready to learn, laugh, and stand in solidarity with their queer teammates and acquaintances.

(Self-described “traditional” teams generally don’t prefer this one.)

We ask that you share the theme with your team beforehand, and make it clear that this will be part entertainment, and part educational (LGBT history and the modern movement).

Folks can set festive virtual backgrounds for themselves to get into the rainbow spirit!

If bringing an adult beverage fits with your company culture, fine by us! 🍹

We do! You’ll find that our pricing is already competitive, and there are sadly not many companies doing what we do (meaningful team building that develops team psychological safety, and is just plain fun).

Once you send in a request, we’ll reach out within 1 business day to help you via email!

Our booking specialist will answer any questions and assist with scheduling and secure online payment.

We’ll be in touch leading up to the event, and share a Zoom link that you just send to your team (however you normally invite them to events).

On the day of, show up ready for fun, and our host will take it from there!
