What happens at the Pride Party?

Your team joins the video call to meet their stunning drag queen.

To kick things off, meet your host and hear her story: how she became a drag queen, an activist, and her LGBT identity. Then it’s time for a drag performance!

She’ll then pose an ice breaker question and move you into small breakout groups to discuss for a few minutes.

We’ll get into Queer Trivia where you’ll compete in small teams to answer questions about pop culture, LGBT icons, history, laws, places and more.

Your Queen will take you on a quick history tour from the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, NYC, and all the way to the Castro in San Francisco – to highlight the places and people that helped define the cause.

For a little pick-me-up, your we’ll do another drag performance – so get ready for some sassy lip syncing!

At the end, your host will share some words on allyship, open it up for a Q&A and/or sharing, and then give everyone a little treat to say farewell!

Have Questions?

We’ll let one of our recent clients answer this!

“You may not think a drag queen sounds workplace appropriate, but you would be surprised how professional and thoughtful the team is.

The Pride Party is a perfect balance of educational and entertaining mixed with a little spice of team building that really brought the whole event together.”

-Jandee, Sr. People & Culture Specialist, Kazoo

This should go without saying, but ideally: open-minded teams who are ready to learn, laugh, and stand in solidarity with their queer teammates and acquaintances.

(“Old school” teams generally don’t prefer this one.)

We ask that you share the theme with your team beforehand, and make it clear that this will be part entertainment (drag show), and part educational (LGBT history and the modern movement).

Folks can set festive virtual backgrounds for themselves to get into the rainbow spirit!
